Frequently Asked Dental Support Questions
You Asked, We Answered!
What is the cost of your service?
Dental Support Specialties uses an hourly model for billing our client practices. Investment, therefore, is a product of time and your hourly multiplier. This model gives you total control of your budget and the amount of service that Dental Support Specialties provides your practice.
And, we offer several hourly price points for practices that reflect short/long-term solutions as well as the total volume of support hours requested. Flexibility is at the forefront of everything we do!
Do I have to sign a contract?
Absolutely not! Dental Support Specialties does not require dentistry practices to sign a contract.
How does this service integrate with my practice software?
Dental Support Specialties will work directly with your team or IT provider to create a secure remote network connection between our office and yours. Our team will access your software utilizing this remote access in a very similar way to how your onsite team does. When we schedule appointments, we schedule based on your scheduling specifics and your practice protocols, ensuring seamless support and fluent communication.
How do you get my calls?
Dental Support Specialties works with your team and/or phone provider to configure the phone forwarding actions needed from your existing number.
When Dental Support Specialties makes outbound calls on your behalf, we will use your phone number as the outgoing caller ID post, continuing the seamless support and comfortability for your patients!
Are you just an answering service?
Dental Support Specialties is NOT an answering service. If the phone isn’t ringing in, we are diligently working on another valuable task such as re-care/undone treatment calls, insurance breakdowns, post-op calls, filling last-minute appointment openings, and proactively looking for any production opportunity we can find! Not only do we work your phones, but we also work your schedule. We detail all patient contacts and communications – we are note-driven and strive to provide detailed documentation in your practice management software. That way, anyone reviewing anything we’ve touched can continue the conversation!
Can I still listen to the calls?
Of course! DDS does record calls for any incoming calls your office receives. If requested, we are able to forward the call in an email to the office for you to listen to.
Why should I choose Dental Support Specialties?
We are the best at what we do! Our experience allows us to be the most productive/proactive support system - period.
Our entire support staff have dental backgrounds and have worked in dental office settings before joining our team. We speak dental!
We measure success by the number of phone calls handled, the amount of production scheduled, and a confirmed schedule provided to your office with as few openings as humanly possible at the end of the day. We know that you will see the results of our hard work in the numbers provided on your monthly financials. It is typical for our clients to have their most productive months while we are working and filling their schedules!
Will my patients know that you are not in my office?
Our goal at Dental Support Specialties is to become a member of your team, and that is how we view ourselves. Therefore, unless it is necessary or we are asked directly, we will not announce to your patients that we are working remotely. Rather, our support specialists will represent themselves as if they are sitting right behind the front desk of your practice.
Can I trust your service with my patients?
Customer service is our passion. Our specialists don’t just answer phones, they engage and work to build relationships with your patients. You can trust your frontline with our trained staff. When one of your patients asks to meet the wonderful receptionist that helped them on the phone, don’t be surprised if it was us! It’s what we do!
What types of dental practices do you support?
We support general practices, periodontal practices, oral surgeon practices, and are working towards adding orthodontic practice support.
